About MediLearn

Is MediLearn a Registered Training Organisation?
Yes. MediLearn is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 46190) regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). This means we’re nationally approved to deliver and assess accredited training that appears on the national register at training.gov.au.
We specialise in the care economy, primarily aged care, but we also support training across disability services, home and community care, NDIS-funded providers, and allied health support. Our courses are designed for both new entrants to the sector and experienced staff seeking to upskill or refresh compliance knowledge.

Courses & Training

What is the difference between accredited and non-accredited training?
Accredited training is nationally recognised and leads to a formal qualification, statement of attainment, or unit of competency listed on training.gov.au. It can be used for career progression, registration, or further study. Non-accredited training (sometimes called professional development or short-course training) focuses on practical skills, compliance topics, or workplace knowledge but does not lead to a formal qualification. Both are valuable, and the right choice depends on your goals.
Yes, all three. Learners can study fully online through our Student Portal, attend on-site sessions delivered at your workplace by our trainers, or follow a blended pathway that combines self-paced online learning with face-to-face workshops or assessments. We’ll work with you to choose the mode that best suits your team’s roles, rosters, and learning preferences.
Absolutely. We regularly develop tailored programs for aged care providers and other care organisations. This can include customising existing courses to reflect your policies and procedures, mapping training to your workforce capability framework, building bespoke onboarding pathways, or designing targeted compliance refreshers. Contact our team to discuss your needs.
Our content is developed and reviewed by subject matter experts with current sector experience. We monitor updates from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, the Department of Health and Aged Care, and changes to legislation (including the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards), and we revise our courses as standards evolve. Trainers also undertake regular professional development to keep their knowledge current.

Enrolment & Costs

Does training cost anything for individual learners?
This depends on how you’re enrolling. If your employer is funding the training, there is typically no cost to you as the learner. Individual self-funded learners can enrol directly, with fees varying by course and listed on each course page. Some accredited courses may also be eligible for government subsidies or traineeship funding, depending on your state or territory.
Yes. Anyone undertaking nationally recognised (accredited) training in Australia must have a USI. It’s free and takes only a few minutes to create at usi.gov.au. Without a USI we’re unable to issue your qualification or statement of attainment. If you need help creating or locating your USI, our support team is happy to assist.
